Avokodo
Taking projects for August

The custom internal tool you keep meaning to build. Live in weeks.

Avokodo is a small software studio building custom web apps for teams drowning in manual work — internal dashboards, CRM and system integrations, and AI automation — shaped around how you actually operate, not how a template says you should.

What we build

Four kinds of work, one goal: fewer hours spent on things software should be doing.

Most Avokodo projects start as a spreadsheet, an inbox rule, and someone's Tuesday afternoon. We replace all three.

Internal dashboards

One place your team can actually see the numbers, the queue and the exceptions — instead of five tabs and an export.

CRM & system integrations

Your CRM, billing, ops tools and inbox talking to each other properly, so nobody is copying records between them by hand.

AI automation

Reading documents, drafting replies, classifying and routing work — applied where it removes real hours, not as a bolt-on gimmick.

Workflows built to fit

Automations shaped to your process rather than bent around an off-the-shelf tool’s limits — and priced as one fixed build, not metered per task.

How it works

A short, honest process. Usually four weeks, start to live.

01 / Week 1

We map the process

A call or two to watch how the work actually happens today and agree what's worth automating first.

02 / Week 1

Fixed scope & price

You get one number for the build and one for the monthly. No hourly billing, no scope surprises.

03 / Weeks 2–3

Build, in the open

You see working software every few days and steer it while it's still cheap to change.

04 / Weeks 3–4

Live, then looked after

We launch it with your team and keep it hosted, monitored and updated on the monthly plan.

Pricing

What a custom internal tool costs. Two numbers, both agreed before we start.

Avokodo quotes a one-off fixed price to build it, and a monthly to run it. Nothing metered, nothing per-seat.

The build

NZ$1,000 NZ$5,000

One fixed fee, paid across the project. Where you land in the range comes down to three things:

Scope
How many screens and workflows the app has to cover.
Complexity
Simple forms and views, or logic, permissions and AI in the loop.
Integrations
How many systems we connect, and how cooperative their APIs are.

Running it

NZ$50 NZ$250/mo

Priced purely on traffic — how much the app is actually used. Quiet internal tool, quiet bill.

Hosting, backups and monitoring included
Security patches and dependency upkeep
Bug fixes and small tweaks as you use it
Move up or down a tier as usage changes

Bigger builds are welcome too — if the scope runs past NZ$5,000 we'll say so on the first call and quote it properly rather than squeeze it.

Common questions

The things people ask on the first call.

How much does a custom internal tool cost?

Avokodo charges one fixed fee between NZ$1,000 and NZ$5,000 for the build, agreed before we start. Where you land depends on scope, complexity and how many systems we integrate. Running it afterwards is NZ$50–NZ$250 a month.

How long does it take?

Usually two to four weeks from first call to live. Week 1 maps the process and fixes scope and price, weeks 2–3 build in the open, weeks 3–4 launch and hand over.

What's included in the monthly fee?

Hosting, backups and monitoring; security patches and dependency upkeep; bug fixes and small tweaks as you use it. Nothing metered, nothing per-seat, and you can move tiers as usage changes.

What if the project is bigger than NZ$5,000?

Bigger builds are welcome. If the scope runs past NZ$5,000 Avokodo will say so on the first call and quote it properly rather than squeeze it.

Is the software built around how we already work?

Yes. The build starts by mapping your actual process rather than fitting you to a product that assumes a different one, so the tool matches the way your team already operates.

What kinds of work do you take on?

Internal dashboards, CRM and system integrations, AI automation, and workflows built to fit around how a team already operates.

What's the difference between a custom internal tool and a no-code platform?

No-code and low-code platforms are subscriptions: you pay per seat or per task for as long as you use them, and your process has to bend to what the platform allows. A custom internal tool is built around how your team already works and costs a fixed NZ$1,000–NZ$5,000 once, so the number does not climb as you hire or as the tool gets busier. Avokodo builds the custom option — it usually wins when the workflow is specific, the volume is high enough that per-task pricing hurts, or you've already hit a platform's limits.

Do you build custom apps for small businesses?

Yes — small businesses, startups and ops teams are most of the work. Avokodo is deliberately priced for teams that need real custom software but were quoted far more by a traditional agency: a fixed NZ$1,000–NZ$5,000 build and NZ$50–NZ$250 a month to run it.

Can you add AI to software we already use?

Usually, yes. The common cases are reading documents and pulling structured data out of them, drafting replies, and classifying or routing incoming work. Avokodo connects that to the systems you already run rather than replacing them, and only where it removes real hours.
